The Byblos International Festival announced its 2024 lineup during a press conference at the Byblos-sur-Mer Hotel, attended by Minister of Tourism Walid Nassar.
The festival committee president, Mr. Raphaël Sfeir, emphasized the importance of maintaining this major cultural event despite economic and security challenges, highlighting the efforts made to achieve financial balance in the face of rising expenses and taxes.
This year, the festival has decided to showcase the diversity of Lebanese and Egyptian artistic scenes, offering five exceptional evenings featuring talented artists.
July 18 will mark the opening with "Le Grand Spectacle – Byblos Edition," a work by Lebanese composer Tony Makhoul. On stage, over 100 artists, musicians, dancers, and singers, accompanied by the prestigious Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform for an emotional experience.
On July 19, it’s rock with the Egyptian band Cairokee and its talented members: Amir Eid on vocals, Sherif Hawary on guitar, Tamer Hashem on drums, Sherif Mostafa on keyboard, and Adam El-Alfy on bass. Their energy promises to shake the audience.
On July 21, the audience is invited to experience a journey to the heart of virtuosity with a concert by Lebanese pianist Michel Fadel, a true reference in his field.
On July 26, Nancy Ajram, an iconic figure of Arabic pop, will revive her greatest hits, delighting her fans.
On July 27, the festival will conclude with Ash, an Egyptian-Montreal artist who will present a unique multi-instrumental show, blending his Egyptian roots with his love for electronic music.
